Built for live comedy.
House of Comedy brings North America’s top touring stand-ups — and the best acts coming up behind them — to a historic theatre in Metro Vancouver, seven nights a week of food, drinks and a full room.

The historic
Columbia Theatre.
We came west because the lower mainland deserved a proper comedy room, and we found one already standing. House of Comedy lives inside the Columbia Theatre on Columbia Street in New Westminster — chandeliers, ornate panels, a real stage, and a room that was built for an audience long before it was built for us.
It seats like a theatre and runs like a club: tables, table service, and a line-up that changes every week.
Where it started.
The first room was The Comic Strip in West Edmonton Mall — the original home of Drink · Dine · Laugh, and still the place that sets the standard. It has spent decades hosting the biggest names on tour while finding the ones about to break. New Westminster is the same idea, on the coast.
